You have mail

Other

When i look at peoles profiles here, so many say that they are genuine, honest, sincere etc.. and that they will reply to all messages sent to them. guess what - they dont! I am aware that a lot of you get a fair amount of mail, and genuinley do not get the time, but everybody? I too get a lot of mail but do find the time to reply, as i think it is only fair to do so. So please, if you get a message from somebody who has shown interest in you, please send them a reply even if it is just to say "no thanks"! its not a lot to ask for is it?

my sentiments exactly! i have lost count of mail sent to me as you have described if they can not mail me through this site to start with then why they on here? they want external communication straight away! no way to impress a lady, i stand by my opinion that i would not answer all mail i wish you the very best of luck best wishes

If you gentlemen feel it necessary to reply to emails from all the young 'ladies' with dubious intentions and ****.com addresses, I wonder, do you also reply to all the double glazing companies and cavity wall insulators who stick leaflets through your lletter boxes?

Re-"You have mail" (Altair96)

It is definately a requirement to answer all mail if one receives an enquiry.
This is a curtious, respectful and good mannered thing to do.
It would appear from my experiences not many people seem to have this ability.
If an enquirer is not to ones taste, then just pleasantly reply saying something
like "Thankyou for your kind e-mail but I am presently pursueing another
relationship, may I wish you all the best ".... My conclusion is that anyone who does not reply is doing me a favour, as this
single action speaks volumes..........so

hi there, it depends on the mail you have been sent. i would rather not get a reply if it was to say no thanks, not a great confidence boost if someone were not to contact me back i would take that as a not interested i would not reply to a man saying i am not interested,no thanks as that could be hurtful i do agree with you that people should not say we will respond to everyone if they have no intention to do so!! onwards and upwards as there are lots of nice people to meet here happy hunting and my very best wishes
