These sites can work

Hi All

Just to let you know these sites can and do work. 

Met my second husband online after the failure of a 26 year marriage, although back in 2001 there wasn't sites such as DatetheUK, ****, **** etc.  So, you may be wondering, why am I back on the dating sites???  Well, he liked the buzz of chatting to ladies on line, and, as I was out working a lot of evenings, he logged in to a dating site to see if he could still "pull".  I have to tell you now that he had cancer of the jaw and had extensive reconstructive surgery to that area and his looks to him were a big issue.  Anyway, he started chatting to a lady who showed an interest in him and off he went!!!  It totally shattered me but eventually got my life back together and started the dating scene again.  Within a week I was having contact with others, either by them contacting me or me contacting them.  I've met lots of lovely people, some for a short time, some a little longer.  Chatted online to many.  I feel I have made a huge amount of friends along the way.  I had a relationship for 8 months with a really lovely guy, unfortunately he wasn't over his ex and it ended.  I am now in touch with my ex husband, after seeing him again on a dating site we are both on, and we are trying to build a relationship up once more.  He says he will never forgive himself for what he did to me but we await to see.  We are taking things slowly.

None of you give up on these dating sites, they can and do work with a little effort.  There are some weird people on them but it is just a matter of filtering out the ones you don't wish to talk to.  Remember you have that little cross at the top right hand corner of your screen to click on if you don't like what you see or hear.  The other day I was contacted by "The [censored] Window Cleaner" who offered to come to my house, [censored] and do whatever household tasks I asked him to do!!!  Needless to say, I didn't take him up on the offer!!  However, some people might enjoy this type of contact, but everyone is different.

Good luck to you all, and don't give up, there is someone out there for us all.  Anyone worried about what to do on dates after years of being a [censored] - if the chemistry is there then it will happen naturally, if not then I doubt that person is for you.

sounds pretty encouraging

i couldn't agree more, online dating gives a good chance to meet your other half even if it's your ex other half

AND it is fun. Sometimes i'm scared because it becomes so addictive!!
